Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on emergency medicine experience. The program focuses on developing skills such as patient care, triage, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Students have flexibility in externship length and location, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses). Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA-accredited program, rabies vaccination, and availability to begin the externship within six months of application.
