Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nursing students focused on hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses), honing skills in patient care, triaging, and collaborating in a customer-centric environment. The program prioritizes flexibility, mentorship, and requires enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program with rabies vaccination.

Johns Hopkins Clinical Nurse Externships are offered to nursing students who have completed at least one clinical practicum in an acute-care hospital. The externship includes pay and an opportunity to gain more hands-on experience in performing patient care duties.
