Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technician/nurse students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program allows students to work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on vital skills such as patient care, triaging, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited program, rabies vaccination, and the externship must begin within 6 months of application.
