Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA-accredited vet tech/nursing students, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience. The program emphasizes a customer-centric approach and employee well-being, with a focus on achieving the best experience for both clients and team members. Students gain skills in triage, patient care, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility in externship length and location, and mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required unless school policy permits unvaccinated handling of pets.
