Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technician/nurse students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (known as Veterinary Nurses), focusing on skills like triaging cases, obtaining patient vitals, and caring for hospitalized animals. Flexibility in location and duration is provided, with a focus on fostering a supportive and employee-centric environment. Requirements include enrollment in an accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, rabies vaccination, and externship commencement within 6 months of application.
