Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills such as obtaining patient vitals, processing laboratory samples, and caring for hospitalized patients. Externs have flexibility in choosing the length and location of their externship, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses).
