Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses), gaining skills in patient care, triage, and collaboration. The program emphasizes flexibility, mentorship, and immersion in emergency medicine. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited program, rabies vaccination, and externship commencement within 6 months of application.
