Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills such as obtaining patient vitals, processing laboratory samples, and triaging cases. Externs have flexibility in choosing the duration and location of their externship, and mentorship is provided by experienced veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required, unless exempted by the school's policy.
