Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program across the United States, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine for vet tech/nursing students. The program focuses on honing emergency skills, including patient care, triaging, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Students have flexibility in choosing the externship length and location, supported by credentialed veterinary technicians. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and rabies vaccination.
