Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nurse students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program allows students to work alongside experienced veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses) in a fast-paced environment, honing skills such as patient care, triage, and laboratory procedures. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and have rabies vaccination unless exempted by school policy. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided to accommodate school requirements.
