Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. This unpaid externship provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient care, triage, and collaboration. Students have flexibility in the length and location of the externship, with mentorship provided by experienced veterinary technicians. Requirements include enrollment in an accredited program and vaccination for rabies, unless exempted by school policy.
