Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on emergency medicine experience. The program emphasizes collaboration with credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses) and focuses on honing emergency skills in a customer-centric environment. Students gain experience in patient care, triage, and laboratory procedures while having the flexibility to choose the externship length and location. Rabies vaccination is required, and applicants must be enrolled in a qualifying program with externship requirements.
