Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on emergency medicine experience. The program provides opportunities to work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses) in a customer-centric environment. Students gain experience in emergency skills, including patient care, laboratory procedures, triage, and collaboration, with flexibility in externship length and location. Rabies vaccination is required, unless exempt per school policy, and applicants must be actively enrolled in a qualifying program with externship requirements starting within 6 months.
