VEG offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for vet tech/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. Students gain skills in patient care, lab work, triage, and collaboration in a customer-focused environment. The program emphasizes flexibility in externship length and location choice, with mentorship and immersion in emergency medicine. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, vaccination for rabies, and externship initiation within 6 months.
