Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students to gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program allows students to choose the length and location of their externship, focusing on honing skills such as patient care, laboratory processing, and triage. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and be vaccinated for rabies, with externships starting within 6 months of application.
