Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs, focusing on emergency medicine skills. Students gain hands-on experience alongside credentialed emergency veterinary technicians, with flexibility in externship length and location. Rabies vaccination is required, unless the school's policy permits handling unvaccinated animals.
