Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience to vet tech/nursing students in various locations across the United States. The program focuses on honing emergency skills, including patient vitals, laboratory processing, and patient care in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, with rabies vaccination mandatory, unless the school's policy allows for handling unvaccinated animals.
