Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for vet tech/nursing students enrolled in AVMA accredited programs, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience. Students gain skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, triage, and collaboration, with flexibility to choose externship length and location. Rabies vaccination is required, unless school policy permits handling unvaccinated animals.
