Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an externship program for veterinary technician/nurse students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program focuses on honing skills like patient care, triage, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Students can choose the length and location of their externship, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses). Candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program, with rabies vaccination required unless exempted by school policy.
