Forest Institute Externship Program
Forest Institute Externship Program is designed to give graduate students at Forest Institute valuable work experience in the field of mental health. Students in graduate studies at The School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute are invited to apply.

The externship is for one year and is a paid opportunity. Eligible students must have already received their undergraduate degree and be enrolled full time in a social science-related graduate program at Forest Institute. Before applying, students must receive approval from their dean.

The externship program provides hands-on experience in the field of mental health that enables students to work with health professionals in a real-life health field setting. The experience will help students be better prepared for a career in mental health.

Externs work an average of 20 hours per week for pay. They must have a dependable form of transportation. Interviews for externship positions are required.

The location is usually in MISSOURI.
