SeaWorld Parks Externships

SeaWorld Parks Externships
SeaWorld Parks Externships are offered to veterinary students at any one of four SeaWorld parks. The program is available to fourth-year veterinary students.

The externship is unpaid; students will be responsible for their own transportation and lodging during the program. Externs will find this work experience truly unique with an opportunity to work with all kinds of non-domestic animals. From whales, dolphins and sharks, to gorillas, chimpanzees, lions, tigers, cheetahs, and elephants, students are sure to find this an extraordinary externship.

Eligible students may apply online by completing an application form and also including two letters of reference and a summary of their coursework. Upon completion of the externship, students will prepare and submit a research paper about their experience.

Why not apply for an externship and internship?

SeaWorld offers externships at both of their Florida parks as well as California and Texas. Externs will receive hands-on experience in clinical rounds, and veterinary diagnostic and surgical procedures. SeaWorld's commitment to education provides externships to give veterinary students real-life experience that will enhance their education.
