This job description is for a Pharmacy Intern position at Desert Regional Medical Center, a 385-bed acute-care hospital. The intern, a pharmacy student, will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assisting in preparing, dispensing, and delivering pharmaceuticals and supplies. Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting medication orders, preparing medications, conducting medication rounds, and participating in educational programs. Qualifications include enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program, prior experience is preferred, and the requirement of a Registered Pharmacy Technician license and Pharmacy Technician certification. The pay range for this position is $25.09 - $38.89 per hour, and vaccination or exemption is required as per applicable laws, with non-discrimination in employment practices.
