The George Washington University Hospital offers a paid Summer Nurse Student Externship from May 20 to August 23, 2024. Externs gain hands-on patient care experience under supervision, with educational opportunities in various specialty areas. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program with a minimum 3.0 GPA and available for full-time, rotating shifts. Duties include assisting Registered Nurses with patient care, maintaining confidentiality, and performing basic nursing procedures. Successful completion may lead to Graduate Nurse/Clinical Nurse positions.

UCLA Health Nursing Summer Externship Program offers work experience to nursing students who have completed their junior year and are entering their senior year of nursing school. The externship is unpaid.
