United Veterinary Care offers externships for veterinary students in their clinical years at AVMA-accredited schools, with placement options at Peoria Area Veterinary Group's locations in Peoria, Dunlap, and Chillicothe. These externships are hands-on, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios, with a focus on various veterinary practices including oncology, orthopedic surgery, and theriogenology. Externs are encouraged to actively participate in surgical cases, dental procedures, and medical appointments under the mentorship of experienced professionals. The externship is unpaid.
