Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship - Dallas, TX (US Texas Dallas)

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for vet tech/nursing students. This program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine alongside credentialed emergency veterinary technicians (Veterinary Nurses). Students will focus on developing emergency skills such as patient vital monitoring, laboratory sample processing, caring for hospitalized patients, and participating in a fast-paced environment. The externship allows flexibility in choosing the duration and location, and it's open to students currently enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. Rabies vaccinations are required unless the student's school has a rabies mitigation policy allowing unvaccinated students to handle unvaccinated animals.
