Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program focuses on emergency medicine skills, including patient care, laboratory work, and triaging in a fast-paced environment, under the mentorship of credentialed veterinary technicians. Externship length and location are flexible to meet school requirements, and rabies vaccination is necessary unless exempted by school policy.
