Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program focuses on emergency medicine skills, including patient care, laboratory work, and triaging in a fast-paced environment, under the mentorship of credentialed veterinary technicians. Externship length and location are flexible to meet school requirements, and rabies vaccination is necessary unless exempted by school policy. This opportunity is ideal for those seeking hands-on experience in veterinary emergency services.
