Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), a rapidly expanding emergency veterinary company, offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program across the U.S. This program offers intensive hands-on training in emergency veterinary medicine, allowing students to develop skills in patient care, lab work, triage, and teamwork. It's designed for students enrolled in AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs, requiring them to start the externship within six months of application. The externship is unpaid, with rabies vaccination mandated unless exempted by the school's policy.
