Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an externship for vet tech/nursing students in emergency medicine across the United States. The program focuses on emergency skills like patient care, laboratory work, and triage in a fast-paced environment, under the mentorship of experienced Veterinary Nurses. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and begin their externship within 6 months of application. This unpaid externship allows flexibility in duration and location, with a requirement for rabies vaccination unless exempted by school policy. Ideal for students passionate about veterinary emergency medicine and seeking hands-on experience.
