Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program focuses on emergency medicine, providing hands-on experience in areas like patient vitals, laboratory sample processing, and triage. Externs are mentored by credentialed veterinary technicians and can customize the length and location of their externship. Rabies vaccination is required, with exceptions based on school policies. Ideal for veterinary technology/nursing students seeking real-world emergency medicine skills.
