Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience to vet tech/nursing students across the United States. Participants will develop crucial emergency skills such as patient vital monitoring, laboratory sample processing, and triage in a dynamic environment, under the guidance of experienced Veterinary Nurses. This unpaid externship is flexible in terms of duration and location, and is open to students currently enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. Rabies vaccination is a prerequisite, unless exempted by the student's school policy. Ideal for students passionate about a career in veterinary emergency medicine.
