Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience for vet tech/nursing students. The program focuses on developing skills like patient vitals assessment, laboratory sample processing, and emergency case triaging. Eligible participants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and require externship hours/skills. Externships are customizable in duration and location, with mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is mandatory unless exempted by a school's policy.
