Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. This hands-on externship focuses on emergency medicine skills, such as patient vitals, lab processing, and triage, under the mentorship of experienced veterinary nurses. The program is unpaid, customizable in length and location, and requires rabies vaccination unless exempt by school policy. Ideal for those passionate about emergency veterinary care, the externship provides valuable real-world experience in a supportive, high-performing environment.
