Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides practical experience in emergency veterinary medicine, including patient care, laboratory work, and triage in a dynamic environment. Externs can customize the duration and location of their externship, with mentorship from experienced veterinary technicians. Applicants must start their externship within 6 months of application and meet rabies vaccination requirements, unless exempted by their school's policy. This opportunity is exclusively for veterinary technology/nursing students, not for veterinary or veterinary assistant students.
