St. Luke's University Health Network offers exciting opportunities for Nursing School Students during the summer across various campuses. The Student Nurse Extern role involves working closely with healthcare teams, providing patient care, and participating in observation opportunities with designated RNs. Responsibilities include following treatment plans, performing vital signs, assisting with admissions, ensuring patient comfort, and communicating changes in patients' conditions. Candidates must be enrolled in a nursing program, possess current BLS/CPR certification, and complete St. Luke's orientation. The network, known for its excellence and integrated services, operates trauma centers and prioritizes quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.

Eligible students will find externships available in numerous career fields and geographic locations around the world. The externships do no include pay or college credit.
