Externships give students a chance to increase their skill set and prepare for a career in nursing. Externs will work in one of the world’s largest academic medical centers. The externship is unpaid. Cornell Extern Program is open to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all undergraduate colleges. It's an opportunity for students to explore their career options while still in college. Winter externships are offered during January and February. Externships can last from one day to one week. Eligible students will find externships available in numerous career fields and geographic locations around the world. The externships do no include pay or college credit. Students will be responsible for all expenses, including travel and housing.

They must know how to administer local anesthesia and perform dental surgery of the teeth, soft tissue, and the jawbone, such as teeth extraction.
