Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (Veterinary Nurses), focusing on skills such as patient care, laboratory procedures, and triaging. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship and support from experienced staff. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited program, vaccination for rabies, and availability to start within six months.
