Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on emergency medicine experience. With a focus on employee and customer satisfaction, VEG aims to revolutionize emergency medicine by providing a supportive work environment. Students will gain practical skills such as patient care, laboratory procedures, and triage in a fast-paced setting. It fills the experience requirement for students when they apply for a residency. The externship is different than just observing. Externs will work with an attending physician and perform clinical duties such as assessing patient histories and performing physical examinations.
