Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed emergency veterinary technicians, focusing on skills like patient vitals, laboratory processing, and patient care. The program emphasizes flexibility, allowing students to choose the duration and location of their externship to meet school requirements. Rabies vaccination is required, unless exempted by the school's policy, and applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA-accredited program.
