Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nursing students enrolled in AVMA accredited programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, emphasizing skills like patient care, triaging, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Students have flexibility in choosing the duration and location of their externship, supported by experienced veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required, unless school policy permits handling unvaccinated animals.
