Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA-accredited vet tech/nursing students seeking hands-on emergency medicine experience. Students work alongside credentialed emergency veterinary technicians, focusing on skills like triage, patient care, and lab processing. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship from experienced VEG Veterinary Nurses. Rabies vaccination is required, and applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited program.
