Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students aimed at providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students will work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (Veterinary Nurses) to develop skills such as patient care, laboratory procedures, and triage in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with a focus on mentorship and immersion in emergency medicine. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA-accredited program and rabies vaccination.
