Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program provides opportunities to work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on skills such as patient care, triaging, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Students can choose the length and location of their externship, supported by mentorship and flexibility. Rabies vaccination is required, unless exempted by the school's policy.
