Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students. This unpaid program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient care, triage, and laboratory processing. Students have flexibility in externship length and location, with mentorship provided by VEG Veterinary Nurses. Rabies vaccination is required unless permitted by the student's school policy.
