Adjunct Faculty Position: College of Law Experiential Learning - Externships in Illinois

Part-time faculty opportunities available within DePaul University's College of Law Experiential Learning Department for its externship program seminars, including judicial, private practice, public interest, and government externships. Applicants with a JD degree and an active law license are encouraged to apply, with demonstrated expertise in the relevant practice setting seminar. It fills the experience requirement for students when they apply for a residency. The externship is different than just observing. Externships provide real, hands-on work experience for medical students. Externs will work with an attending physician and perform clinical duties such as assessing patient histories and performing physical examinations. All extern duties are done at a hospital under the supervision of a U.S. licensed attending physician.

Externs will profile startup companies, learn what VCs look for, and be a part of investing in the next generation of technology. HP Tech Ventures is seeking ambitious students to help research relevant pre-seed stage startups for deal sourcing and evaluation. UCLA Health Nursing Summer Externship Program offers work experience to nursing students who have completed their junior year and are entering their senior year of nursing school. The externship is unpaid. Externships are offered during the summer and take place at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, and The Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA. Students who join the Bain team are offered externship positions that allow them to jump start their career through six-month working assignments at other companies where they can pursue different career paths. To be eligible, students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. They must also be able to work the required number of hours during the semester. Winter externships are offered during January and February. Externships can last from one day to one week. Eligible students will find externships available in numerous career fields and geographic locations around the world. The externships do no include pay or college credit. Students will be responsible for all expenses, including travel and housing.
