Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. With a focus on fostering a customer-first mentality and an employee-centric work environment, VEG aims to revolutionize emergency medicine. Externs gain experience in triaging cases, obtaining patient vitals, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment, all while being mentored by credentialed veterinary technicians. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with rabies vaccinations required unless otherwise permitted by school policy.
