Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a hands-on Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides experience in emergency medicine, focusing on vital skills such as patient care, laboratory processing, and triage. Flexibility in externship length and location, along with mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians, ensures a valuable learning experience. Candidates must be enrolled in accredited programs and vaccinated for rabies, with externships starting within 6 months of application.
