Students collaborate with credentialed veterinary technicians (Veterinary Nurses) to develop skills in patient care, triage, and laboratory procedures. Flexibility in externship length and location accommodates school requirements, with mentorship provided throughout. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA-accredited program, and rabies vaccination is required, unless school policy allows handling unvaccinated animals.
