Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nurse students enrolled in AVMA accredited programs, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. With a focus on customer and employee satisfaction, VEG aims to revolutionize emergency medicine while fostering a supportive work environment. The program allows students to choose the length and location of their externship, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited program and vaccinated for rabies, unless exempt per school policy, with externships starting within 6 months of application.
