VEG offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on emergency medicine experience. Externs collaborate with credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses) to develop skills in triage, patient care, and laboratory procedures. Flexibility in externship length and location allows students to meet school requirements while gaining mentorship in a customer-focused, employee-centric environment. Rabies vaccination is required unless school policy permits handling unvaccinated animals.
