The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient care, laboratory processing, and triaging cases. Students choose the length and location of their externship, benefiting from mentorship by credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses). Rabies vaccination is required, with flexibility for students' school requirements, and applications are open to those starting externships within six months.
